It seems that The Boys, will still go on, even without knowing if the long-awaited third season will reap the hoped-for fruits. Although Prime Video has not yet formalized the start of season 4 of the broadcaster’s “iconic” series, star Karl Urban said during SXSW that he will be busy filming the show’s next season until the end of the year.
The statements made by Urban on Varietycame within a much broader discourse that also concerned the creative director of The BoysEric Kripke and other actors from the Amazon series:
I’m shooting ‘The Boys’ until the end of the year
Within the conversation, they were analyzing the new trailer recently released for the third season, making fun of it, calling it the one that is furthest away from the usual patterns:
I think this season is our best. Obviously I’m very biased, but it’s an even more messed up season than we’ve done so far. There are a lot of those messy moments that are characteristic of boys. I think we face a lot of new territories. I think we will show our characters in places that they have never appeared before. I’m so excited for people to see it, it’s going to be great … I don’t know what else to say beyond, I think I’ve had more fun shooting this season than the others because all the actors, now, and the crew, are just so great, one big family. At this point it feels like a second life and I love it. But I’m really proud of what we’ve done and I can’t wait for people to see it
In the third season of The Boys the actors who will reign supreme will still be: Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit and Jensen Ackles. There is still a lot to discover, we can’t wait to enjoy the third season of the Prime Video series.
