REN TV reported that the body of ex-Rada deputy Ilya Kiva was found in the Moscow region
The body of former Verkhovna Rada deputy Ilya Kiva was found in a private house in the village of Suponevo near Zvenigorod, a law enforcement source told Lenta.ru.
The exact circumstances of the death are still unknown, investigators are working at the scene. Ukrainian special services have already taken responsibility for the murder of the ex-deputy.
No external injuries were found on Kiva’s body
According to Lenta.ru’s source, no external injuries were initially found on Ilya Kiva’s body. However, how writes Telegram channel Mash, there is a cut wound on the ex-deputy’s right temple and a hematoma on the left side of his face. The channel also writes that the body was bloodied.
Also, according to Mash, Kiva was found lying in the snow in the park area of the Velich Country Club hotel in Suponevo.
Telegram channel “112” clarifiesthat the body was found by a hotel worker, who called the police and an ambulance. The channel also claims that there are traces of blood on the body.
The SBU may have been involved in the murder of Kiva
The murder of ex-deputy Ilya Kiva was probably organized by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), report Ukrainian media citing sources in the intelligence service. In addition, according to their sources, Kiva was killed by small arms fire. “According to information from sources, the elimination of the top traitor, collaborator and propagandist Ilya Kiva is a special operation of the SBU,” writes Ukrayinska Pravda.
The murder of Ilya Kiva was also confirmed by the speaker of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrey Yusov, writes publication “Strana.ua”.
There have already been attempts to assassinate Kiva
The FSB and the GRU previously prevented an assassination attempt on Ilya Kiva in Moscow. The deputy himself reported this.
According to him, foreign mercenaries specially came to Russia to commit murder. They planned to shoot the former Ukrainian deputy in September 2022 as he exited his armored car near his house or Ostankino. Kiva added that the order was to be carried out by former intelligence officers from one of the Middle Eastern countries.
In his last post, Kiva called on Zelensky to commit suicide
In his last post on the Telegram channel, published on December 6 at 9:48 a.m., the ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy named President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky is a “bastard who drowned in blood” the people of Ukraine.
It is better for Zelensky to commit suicide now, as the losers have always done, in order to take all the problems with him and close the issue. But he is too cowardly and narcissistic for such actions
He called “escaping to England” another option for Zelensky, but warned that “they could extradite him there.”
In Ukraine, Kiva was accused of treason
In Ukraine, Kivu was sentenced in absentia to 14 years in prison, having been found guilty on several counts, including treason. He was charged with calling for the seizure of power in Ukraine and public use of Soviet symbols.
In his statements, Kiva repeatedly criticized Zelensky, also predicting the end of his rule.
The ex-deputy not only asked for political asylum in Russia, but also Russian citizenship. He addressed this to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Kiva supported special military operation
Ilya Kiva began his political career at Euromaidan, where he met the head of the Right Sector (the organization is recognized as terrorist and is banned in the Russian Federation) Dmitry Yarosh. He spoke at pro-European rallies in support of the coup, thereby winning the trust of the nationalists.
In March 2014, Kiva was appointed political leader of the Right Sector in the Poltava, Kharkov, Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Another six months later, the politician received the shoulder straps of a police major, thanks to the patronage of the then head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov (included in the list of extremists of Rosfinmonitoring).
He also participated in the ATO on the territory of Donbass as part of the Poltava region special police patrol battalion. In subsequent years, citizens remembered him for his ardent verbal Russophobia. For example, in 2015, he called for the shooting of buses traveling from Kyiv to Donetsk, and insisted that the eastern regions “require forced Ukrainization.”
However, by the beginning of the 2018 presidential elections, Kiva abruptly changed his political position and joined the Socialist Party of Ukraine, where he was nominated for the post of head of state. He lost decisively, gaining less than 0.03 percent of the vote.
Then the politician joined the Opposition Platform – For Life (OPZZh) party, which advocated negotiations with Donetsk and Lugansk, rapprochement with Russia and rejection of European integration. Kiva was also elected to the Verkhovna Rada on lists from the OPZZH. He explained the sharp turn in views as an “epiphany” in relation to the authorities in Kyiv.
Kiva publicly criticized the government of Vladimir Zelensky even before the SVO and expressed regret that Viktor Yanukovych “did not crush the Maidan with tanks.” Shortly before the announcement of the special operation, the politician left Ukraine, and in February 2022 he supported Putin’s decision to send troops.
