An 11-year-old child and three men were found dead in a private house on Sakhalin. The incident was reported on March 3 at website Investigative Committee of the RF Investigative Committee for the Sakhalin Region.
It is noted that the bodies without visible injuries were found on Lugovaya Street in the village of Okhotsk.
According to the preliminary version of forensic experts, people were poisoned by carbon monoxide from a diesel generator.
The Korsakov interdistrict department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Sakhalin Region opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Causing death by negligence”).
The investigation is ongoing.
Earlier, on February 21, it was reported that a family with two children was poisoned by carbon monoxide in an apartment in Volgograd. According to the preliminary version, the gas leak occurred due to a faulty column. Carbon monoxide poisoning was detected in a 38-year-old woman, her husband, as well as in children of five and seven years old.
