A representative of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry called Pashinyan’s words about Lukashenko short-sighted
With words about President of Belarus Lukashenko and the exclusion of Minsk from the CSTO, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan is trying to divert attention from the country’s internal problems. Official representative of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Anatoly Glaz called Yerevan’s position short-sighted, reports RIA News.
“If someone decided to distract attention from internal problems by portraying an external enemy, then this is a very short-sighted position,” he said.
The representative of the ministry emphasized that Minsk and Yerevan have long-standing friendly relations and a common history, and Belarus is not going to worsen these relations. He also recalled that a representative of the Armenian embassy was summoned to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry for clarification.
On June 13, the Prime Minister of Armenia demanded the exclusion of Belarus from the CSTO. The reason for this, according to Pashinyan, was the statements of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko during his visit to Baku
