The Batman, the film directed by Matt Reeves, hit theaters to show us a new Bat Man played by Robert Pattinson. Contrary to the wave of initial criticism, the film is being a success around the world thanks to its gripping story full of intrigue and action.
As we have seen, the tape shows the beginnings of Batman fighting crime in Gotham. What he did not expect was to meet a mind as Machiavellian as that of the Riddler (Paul Dano), who begins a hunt for the most important men in the city.

The sequel to The Batman is already on the way
In a recent interview for ComicBook, producer Dylan Clark assured that the sequel will see the light of day in less than five years. However, it is at a very early stage so he could not delve into details about the plot or a tentative release date.
In this regard, Matt Reeves is excited to expand his own fictional universe taking The Batman as a base. “We are already telling other stories through streaming, things on HBO Max. We’re developing a Penguin series with Colin Farrell that’s going to be amazing. We’re also working on other things, but we’ve started talking about another movie,” he told The Independent.

End of the film anticipated what we will see in the sequel
As we saw at the end of the film, Riddler is taken to prison to pay his sentence while Batman understands that he should not follow a path of revenge and violence. It was a long road of growth for all the characters involved, so expect to see more of them.
Likewise, we witness how a new villain appears on the scene with laughter and proposes to make an alliance. It is most likely that it is Joker due to the clear references, but it remains to be confirmed if it will be the new threat for the vigilante in the announced sequel.
