The holiday regime in the Astrakhan region is not planned to be extended. About this on Saturday, November 6, informs press service of the regional government.
“There are no plans to extend non-working days in the Astrakhan region. This means that on November 8, on Monday, citizens go to work, and schoolchildren go to classes, ”the message says.
The press service clarified that 2,085 beds are used to treat patients with coronavirus in the region, their number is planned to be increased to 2,300. In total, about 380 thousand people have been vaccinated in the region – this is more than 60% of the planned figure or half of the adult population.
“This (vaccination – Ed.) Allows us to prevent a sharp jump in the incidence, and with the current, albeit negative, but restrained dynamics, we will definitely cope. Of course, in the event that the rate of vaccination does not slow down and we manage to reach 100% vaccination in risk groups and 80% among the adult population of the region as a whole in the near future, ”the press service quotes Astrakhan Region Governor Igor Babushkin as saying.
On the eve, the decision not to extend the non-working days was made by the authorities of Yakutia. At the same time, the region will continue to operate a mode of access to a number of public institutions in the presence of a QR code. The authorities of the Amur region also decided to act.
On the same day, a member of the Federation Council, Honored Doctor of Russia, Vladimir Krugly, spoke in favor of extending the non-working day regime in the country in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Krugly noted that citizens must continue to comply with security measures, including wearing masks and keeping their distance.
On October 20, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the introduction of non-working days in the country from October 30 to November 7 with the preservation of wages. At the same time, the regions were given the right, if necessary, to introduce non-working days from October 23 and extend them after November 7.
A large-scale vaccination has been taking place in Russia since January. Citizens are vaccinated free of charge and voluntarily. Five vaccines against coronavirus have been registered in the country: Sputnik V, which became the first vaccine against COVID-19 in Russia and the world, as well as Sputnik Light, EpiVacCorona, EpiVacCorona-N and KoviVak.
