There are many great indie titles coming out this year and one of the most captivating is certainly The Ascent, an isometric RPG with a cyberpunk setting and a decidedly unique look that aims to be a complete experience both as a single player and co-op title. It was a highly anticipated game, and it’s uno of the many that will also arrive on Game Pass from day one. You have recently been able to download it and be ready for the big day.
Preload for both Xbox and PC consoles is now enabled for the game. Interestingly, there is a decent discrepancy between the console and PC versions. In fact, on consoles the game weighs 17.05 GB, while on PC it seems to be 28.76 GB. The reason for this gap is not clear.
Preload does not appear to be active for the Steam version of the game yet; at the moment you can download The Ascent only with the version present on the Windows Store, so it is not known if there will be a difference between these two platforms as well.
The Ascent will launch on July 29 for Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, and PC. If you are a Game Pass subscriber you can enjoy it from day one, otherwise renew your subscription here.
