The Dubai Police General Command arrested a group of people of African nationality in their residences in the late hours of the night, in conjunction with similar operations in other emirates, after circulating a video clip on social media platforms, showing the exchange of these people assault with a white weapon, and inflicting them on them. Damage to the property of others.
And announced that they will be transferred to the Public Prosecution. Dubai Police warned against practicing these dangerous behaviors, which affect the security and safety of communities.
The Dubai Police General Command appealed to members of the community, when observing negative phenomena, to report them in the “Police Eye” service, in the Dubai Police application on smart phones, or call the emergency number 999, to report such behaviors.
Dubai Police warns against circulating such video clips, for violating the law, in accordance with Article 52 of Federal Law No. 34 of 2021 regarding combating rumors and cybercrime in Item 1, which is punishable by imprisonment for a period of no less than one year, and a fine of no less than 100,000 dirhams. Anyone who uses the information network or any means of information technology to broadcast, publish, republish, circulate or recirculate news that incites or provokes public opinion, disturbs public security, spreads fear among people, or harms the public interest, the national economy, or the system public or public health.
