Tizayuca, Mexico.- President Claudia Sheinbaum considered that the Mexican Army also builds peace by participating in the execution of the country’s main public works.
At the start of the Mexico-Pachuca Train project, where the group of military engineers will have a central participation, President Sheinbaum highlighted the work of the Armed Forces in public works.
“The military engineers are going to help us, who are really good; they built trains, airports, welfare banks, hospitals… There is also going to be construction with private companies in the country, but in this case, we made the decision to that a… what do you call, General Vallejo, your group of engineers? Grupo de Ingenieros Felipe Ángeles, which is from a Hidalgo native, General Felipe Ángeles is a Hidalgo native, a general whose maxim was to respect life, he was a Peaceful general who sought peace. “Well, our military engineers and the Mexican Army build peace throughout the country; Of course there is an Army and the National Guard participates, but what we all want is the construction of peace, and public works are also an essential part of the work of the Secretariat of National Defense,” Sheinbaum highlighted.
During the ceremony, agreements were signed between the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation and the Secretariat of National Defense, as well as with the Secretariat of the Environment, to begin planning the work on this project.
The President described the Mexico-Pachuca Train project and even committed the construction of stations in Temascalapa and Tizayuca. “That train leaves from Buenavista, from the Buenavista station, in Mexico City. Then it goes from Mexico City to the Felipe Ángeles International Airport. And then from there it comes to Pachuca. So there is a lot of population. Also in Tizayuca they are going to have its station, that’s why we’re here. “Well, this train is going to have a lot of bridges, overpasses, because it’s going to be totally confined, it’s going to pass completely confined. And after here we are going to go north, we are going to go to Nuevo Laredo. The objective is for there to be a train from Mexico City to Nuevo Laredo. Soon we will be in Querétaro as well,” the President offered.
‘Next year we are going to elect the Judiciary’
President Claudia Sheinbaum recalled that before leaving office, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador signed three reforms: that of the National Guard, that of full rights for indigenous and Afro-Mexican communities, and that of the reform of the Judiciary.
He highlighted that the latter considers the election of judicial positions, and during the event he put the issue to a vote. “Who agrees that the Ministers should be chosen by the Senate? And who agrees that they should be chosen by the people of Mexico? Who agrees that it should be the people of Mexico? Everything! How We said: with the people everything, and without the people nothing! That is what the Fourth Transformation of the public life of Mexico is about. “So, even if they want to say that it cannot be, it is already part of the Constitution of the Republic. So next year we are going to elect the Judiciary. What could be more democratic than that? Mexico is a free, sovereign, independent, democratic country, and that is the Fourth Transformation of the public life of Mexico,” highlighted the President.
