Eight years have passed since the release of Mafia III, and many are still eagerly awaiting a new installment in this acclaimed series. Although there is no official information at the moment, A new trademark registration signals that the next title in Take-Two's beloved series could be just a few years away.
Recently, the user known as Kurakasis, an insider who has been known for finding trademark registrations before their official revelation, has pointed out that Take-Two is preparing for the announcement of a new Mafia game, which could be announced next month. This is what he said about it:
“I can tell you that a few days ago Take-Two began preparations for an announcement about the Mafia series.
It's hard for me to determine the timeline, but with Judas I've seen them preparing for the new trailer about 3 or 4 weeks before its release, so…
Soon”.

Although Take-Two has remained silent about the future of Mafia, since last year reports and rumors have begun to emerge that give us an idea of what the next title in the series could come. To start, a job offer from Hangar 13, the studio responsible for this series, points out that the next Mafia game is already in pre-production using, and makes use of, Unreal Engine 5.
In the job postings, it was stated that the new Mafia game would include an improved stealth system, at least compared to what was seen in Mafia 3. For its part, Kotaku reported in May 2022 that The game would be a prequel set in Sicily, and would take place years before the events of the original title.in which the players took control of Tommy Angelo in the 1930s.
As always, we can only wait for Take-Two to share more information about it. With Summer Game Fest and all the summer showcases just a few months away, The possibility that the next Mafia game will finally be revealed at one of these events is not ruled out. In related topics, you can learn more about what it would be mafia 4 here. Likewise, here you can check out our gameplay of Mafia II.
Editor's Note:
A new Mafia game sounds pretty interesting. However, we would not see this title until 2026, at the earliest. Considering that GTA 6 will arrive next year, it is very likely that Take-Two does not want its properties to compete with each other.
