Is the price of an Aston Martin Valkyrie just a bit too much for you? Then the Adamastor Furia might be the solution. It may sound Japanese, but it is really Portuguese. The track tool from the sunny country will cost around 1.6 million euros (without taxes), which is half of a Valkyrie here in the Netherlands (with almost 2 tons in taxes). Why do we compare the Adamastor with the Aston? Just look at the photos for yourself, that says it all.
It is easy to see that Adamastor has copied the British homework, but has changed it a bit. The biggest difference is in the middle of the carbon fiber body. There is a 3.5-liter V6 from Ford. The Ecoboost delivers 650 hp and 571 Nm. So half the number of cylinders, half the power and about half the price.
Adamastor Furia has a ton of downforce
The Adamastor weighs just over 1,000 kilos before you fill it up with liquids and stuff yourself into it. A lot of aerodynamic elements are screwed to the lightweight carriage. Thanks to the Venturi effect, the Furia should generate 1,000 kilos of downforce at 250 km/h, according to Adamastor. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h only takes 3.5 seconds.
Of course, all sixty units that are made also come with ABS and traction control. Very nice for a light car with such a lot of power. It is not known when the car will appear. At some point you’ll think ‘hey, that’s a Valky- oh, no!’. The brand itself indicates that it competes with Aston Martin, Koenigsegg, Pagani and Rimac. So there is no shortage of ambition.
