These are the notes of Cholo Simeone’s players in the epic victory against Getafe:
Oblak (5): The Slovenian conceded three goals in four shots. Although it is true that two were penalties, Oblak has accustomed us to impossible saves and neither in this game nor in this season is he surprising us.
Llorente (6): He came from an injury and fulfilled his duties although he did not contribute in attack in a system that takes him too far from advanced positions. In defense he wasn’t a lock either.
Savić (7): He was connected all the time in the game and although he was not able to get the ball cleanly, he was good on the cut.
Philip (4): The errors of the Brazilian added to the expulsion, hurt Atlético a lot.
Reinildo (4): He had a good presence in attack, but was a drain on defense. The penalties were caused by centers from his band.
Kondogbia (6): He was good with the ball, although he was not able to keep it. He should have pushed harder and led the team to annoy Getafe.
Koke (4): We know that the captain played because he got a card, but a midfielder of Koke’s stature has to manage the times of a game and he wasn’t able to today, and he’s been like that for a while.
Lemar (5): He put good balls for wide players and in set pieces, but he is a footballer with a differential quality that should show more.
Strap (8): The Argentine is the heart of Atlético. His two goals meant that the rojiblancos were in the game at all times and his activity and flashes were one of the few positive aspects of the game.
Bed (7): He scored a goal and was constantly looking for unchecks and shots in the centers. He caused a penalty.
Luis Suarez (6): He missed the penalty, but tried to attack at all times, although not many balls came to him. He was replaced after Felipe’s expulsion.
Handsome Mario (7): He came out to cover the gap of his teammate’s expulsion and provided solidity. In addition, he scored the winning goal.
Joao Felix (7): His departure made Atlético wake up and brighten up the game, a header from him made Hermoso receive the ball to score.
Rodrigo DePaul (6): It coincided with the best minutes of the rojiblancos and they entered with a lot of enthusiasm. He took the free kick that ended in a goal.
Vrslajko (6): He was in the final minutes and provided the solidity and intensity necessary for the team to hold on and come back.
