Mexico City.- The President-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum, dedicated this Sunday a message of gratitude to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who she said has an organizational capacity that comes from his dedication to the people of Mexico.
“There is a very great example. President López Obrador merges with the people and the people merges with their President. He told me: ‘we are a brotherhood, we have created a brotherhood among millions of Mexican men and women.’
“Saying it is an honor to be with Obrador is not from now. That’s how it is, that’s how it has been and that’s how it will be. The people of Mexico, all of us say thank you, President. Thank you for so much,” Sheinbaum said in his message. In the video, scenes of López Obrador’s arrival to the Presidency, his work tours, moments in the presidential office and rallies and marches of his movement are broadcast.
For Sheinbaum, the President “has recovered the dignity of the people of Mexico and the dignity of the Republic”, and has fulfilled a mission that comes from the history of Mexico and that he leaves as a legacy not only for the President-elect, but for the people .
“Then recover our culture, our history and, at the same time, the greatness of Mexico, a hard-working, supportive people, which makes the President’s example very powerful and what this feat has achieved. “I believe there is other things too, how he keeps his schedule, how he travels, but at the same time writes a book and at the same time sees people and listens and has follow-up meetings. He has an exceptional organizational capacity and it has to do with dedication,” Sheinbaum said. In the video, López Obrador himself reflects on his goal of “making history and not failing the people.” “I don’t forget where I come from. I don’t forget that I come from below, I come from the people. Almost 50 years fighting for justice and for the common people. Now yes to La Chingada,” López Obrador himself closes the video.
