Tests of the Pantsir mini-missile for combating drones will be completed in 2024
Tests of the Pantsir-S1M small-sized anti-aircraft missile and gun complex (ZRPK) missile, designed to combat drones, will be completed in 2024. Work on a mini-rocket was reported by the press service of the High-Precision Complexes holding company (part of the Rostec state corporation), reports TASS.
“In order to increase the performance of the complex, taking into account new threats in the form of the massive use of drones, a small-sized missile was developed to destroy this type of target. Tests are underway, they will be completed this year,” the holding company said on the sidelines of the World Defense Show in Riyadh.
The Pantsir-S1 air defense missile system is designed for short-range protection of objects from modern and future air attack weapons. The arsenal of the basic version of the complex includes two 2A38M cannons of 30 mm caliber and missiles.
