In a period of chip crisis, Tesla’s Cybertruck pickup has already guaranteed US$ 80 billion in order reservations. Unveiled two years ago, the vehicle that seems to have left the scene of the movie “Blade Runner” is one of Elon Musk’s bets on the futuristic car market.
So far, more than 1.27 million people are in line to buy, according to Electrek.

It is possible to reserve a Cybertruck unit for as little as $100 at Tesla’s website. The low value of the deposit may be an explanation for the high number of people interested in purchasing the car, but in previous experiences, the deposit for the reservation of models “3” and “Y” was US$ 1,000.
Tesla assures people that the amount is refundable, indicating that the number of actual Cybertruck buyers will likely be less than those 1.27 million people.
For those who want to buy a version of the car, Tesla indicated that it will be able to launch it with power specifications according to the customer’s taste: one, two or three engines. The pickup is scheduled for launch at the end of 2022 and beginning of 2023 and the starting price may be around US$ 39 thousand.
