The adventure and platform video game shares its first images and will arrive in spring.
Although its development had already been confirmed in 2020, Modus Games and Rain Games have waited until Gamescom 2022 to give us our first look at Teslagrad 2, the sequel to the puzzle-platformer adventure Teslagrad, which has sold over 2 million copies. The game will come in spring to PC and consoles.
In the shared trailer, viewers accompanies the new heroine, Lumina, after crashing in an uncharted region and discovering an ancient tower packed with technology. “On her journey, Lumina will harness the forgotten art of Teslamancy and harness her electromagnetic abilities to solve perplexing physics-based puzzles, explore winding caves and industrial chambers, and outwit the mysterious enemies and traps that await her.”
For its visual bet, Teslagrad 2 will bet on some hand drawn graphics where pastel and muted tones are used to bring to life untouched wilderness as well as steampunk visions of ancient Europe inspired by Scandinavian culture and folklore. In his world, users can manipulate realistic physics and use unique powers to overcome obstacles and survive surreal dangers.
“I’ve been dreaming of creating Teslagrad 2 for years,” says Peter Wingaard Meldahl, Project Manager at Rain Games. “The story, gameplay and mechanics have been fermenting in my head ever since we released the original and seeing this dream come to fruition is a truly awesome feeling,” he adds. The video game has confirmed its premiere in PC (Steam), PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Switch.
