A black Sunday on the streets of Ascoli. A terrible chain accident caused the death of a young motorcyclist and seriously injured two people. The accident occurred inside the Rosara tunnel, along the Salaria, which remained closed until 4pm to allow for surveys and rescue operations. It was he who lost his life Alessio Pasquelli, 26 years old, resident in Spinetoli and employee of an agricultural machinery company.

Pasquelli was riding one of the two motorbikes involved in the collision, which, according to initial reconstructions, collided head-on with a van coming from the opposite direction. Subsequently, a Fiat Qubo arrived without being able to avoid a collision with the van. To complete the dramatic picture, the second motorbike, which violently hit the minivan.

Two people were seriously injured and are now hospitalized in Torrette hospital in Ancona. Among them, the driver of the van, intubated, is in critical condition, while the second injured person, a 22-year-old boy, is hospitalized under code red.

This accident once again highlights the danger of the roads and the importance of careful driving, especially in treacherous sections such as tunnels or high-traffic arteries.
