Thursday the night before Finnish time Emil Rose Mountain advanced to the second round of tennis at the Miami ATP Masters. In his opening match, the Finnish player defeated the French-born United States Maxime Cressyn erin 6–3, 6–2.
Ruusuvuori survived the match without losing a single pass. He broke Cressy’s feed in the opening round once.
“But yes, it required a really good performance from myself. It became number one and number two so hard that you have to do something really well yourself, ”Ruusuvuori told STT.
In the second installment, the Finn reached two fractions.
“Really happy with my performance today.”
Cressy is ranked 72nd on the world list, one place behind Rose Mountain.
In the second round, Ruusuvuori gets a high-quality opponent when Italy, which is ranked 11th on the world list, faces Jannik Sinner. A year ago, Mount Rose advanced to Miami for the fourth round, where he just lost to Sinner.
