Novak Djokovic is aiming for his seventh championship at Wimbledon.

Tennis star Novak Djokovic cleared the first hurdle today as he aims for his seventh championship at the tennis grand slam in Wimbledon. Serbian Djokovic defeated the South Korean in the men’s singles round Kwon Soon-Woon in four installments 6–3, 3–6, 6–3, 6–4. Kwon is ranked 81st on the world list, with Djokovic in third.

Djokovic, 35, is aiming for an achievement on the grass fields in southern London that would elevate him to the level of the U.S. Pete Samprasin with.

“As a little boy, the first tennis match I watched on TV was where Sampras celebrated the Wimbledon championship for the first time,” Djokovic said.
