The little boy’s parents live near the place and had already alerted the local police to the disappearance of their son for several hours. There are still no details about the reasons why the boy decided to run away from home and leave the country.

“Those who failed in their duties will be sanctioned, fired or transferred,” said Ahmed, the Najaf airport director. In addition, they will establish new security measures once the weaknesses of the current protocol are identified.
