(Reuters) – Telegram on Saturday suspended accounts of those investigated in an investigation by the Federal Supreme Court, fulfilling a determination by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF, in this regard.
“In respect of the court decision handed down by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, in the records of PET 9935, Telegram suspended three accounts attributed to one of the investigated on suspicion of leading a digital militia financing scheme in Brazil,” the court said in a press release. .
Among the suspended accounts is that of Bolsonarista blogger Allan dos Santos, who has already been the target of a similar measure on his channels on other social networks, such as Twitter and YouTube.
Moraes had determined the blocking of three Telegram profiles involved in an investigation into the spread of hate speech and fake news, under penalty of the application being taken off the air in case of non-compliance.
