Tekken 8 continues to expand its roster of characters, as usual, and in this case the next one to arrive is another classic of the series: it is Eddie Gordowhich presents itself with its characteristic capoeira in the new trailer by Bandai Namco.
As reported by the publisher, Eddy Gordo will be introduced into the cast of characters of Tekken 8 on April 5, 2024 officially, but it can also be used in “early access” from midnight on April 1st for those who own the game's Character Year 1 Pass, thus allowing it to be used ahead of time.
As we see in the trailer, Gordo appears evolved but his basic characteristics are similar to the classic ones.
An almost classic character
Eddy Gordo was introduced for the first time in Tekken 3 and over the years has gone through various changes in appearance, while maintaining the basic characteristics essentially constant over time.
Even in Tekken 8 we see it changed in terms of aesthetics, but the characterizing elements remain the same, obviously including the fighting style based on Capoeira, the traditional Brazilian fight.
The new Eddy Gordo of Tekken 8 seems to be based on largely reconstructed animations, but obviously the basic style that distinguishes him remains, with a combat system linked above all to kicks and harmonious movements of the body, especially of the legs, taking up the typical style of the Brazilian technique.
While waiting for Gordo's arrival, we refer you to information on the most popular characters and other statistics for the fighting game in question.
