We read others details provided by the publisher via a press release:
The Cowabunga Collection does not just re-propose the heated clashes against Shredder’s unfortunate henchmen but makes its way into the depths of the New York sewers to unearth never-before-seen documents, game concept art and sketches preserved in KONAMI’s TMNT vault.
Discover the Tana delle Tartarughe: a virtual museum that houses everything related to the TMNT world. Listen to the soundtracks of retro games and let yourself be carried away by nostalgia. Dig into the creative process that led to the birth of concept sketch games never before shown by the public. Review the original game manuals lost in time, painstakingly restored to their optimum condition.
To keep up with the times, the collection features quality-of-life updates, such as save and rewind functions, to resume or restart from any point in the adventure. The Watch-and-play mechanic allows players to let the game progress through the levels on its own to help them get through the toughest game stages before regaining control. In addition, fun battle modes have been added that enhance the gaming experience to make known levels more lively.
The collection includes strategy guides that will help players reach the next level. Hidden power-up maps and locations are now at your fingertips. Failure to complete the TMNT underwater mission for NES may soon become a thing of the past!
