Technology 1nce, specialized in the Internet of Things Sector (IoT), has endowed connectivity to the more than 11,100 smart containers of waste that is being installed in the city of Madrid. Company sources ensure that this deployment lacks precedents in terms of size and relevance, since it is the most important continental waste management project carried out so far in Europe.
The 1nce role in this deep renewal of waste deposits in the Madrid capital is essential, since the IoT monitors their status in real time. This system allows to know when deposits are located near the limit of its capacity and, therefore, organize its emptying under a more efficient and sustainable criterion.
In this way, IoT is presented as an alternative with relevant improvements with respect to traditional systems, through which waste is collected following a calendar, a schedule or, worse, randomly. This traditional method remained effective from containers emptyingnot considering if it was full or half fill.
Company sources indicate that ACCIONA, OHL, Value and Sensono also participate in this immense renewal and highlight the rapid growth of society on a global and national scale, since it provides services in the national market since the late 2022. In this period, Spain is already one of the main references for the company in Europe.
