A physics teacher from a St. Petersburg gymnasium became the Russian Teacher of the Year
In Russia, the teacher of the year was chosen – physics teacher Leonid Dedyukha from St. Petersburg. This is reported by RIA Novosti.
It is specified that the man works at the Academic Gymnasium No. 56 named after M. B. Pildes in the Northern capital. The award was presented to the teacher at the State Kremlin Palace by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and the rector of Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy.
Chernyshenko called the teaching profession heroic and noted that the successes and achievements of teachers will be regularly celebrated.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated teachers on Teacher’s Day. The head of state noted that this profession evokes special respect.
