The BF Motorsport Team closed the TCR Italy 2021 season on the Mugello track.
A negative closing, where Eric Brigliadori was unable to fight all the way for the laurel.
Going step by step, the rider from Romagna showed up on the Tuscan track aboard his Audi RS 3 LMS TCR after the parenthesis in Imola with Hyundai.
Right from free practice, he started working on the set-up of the car, in view of qualifying, where the Cesena took the third time just three tenths from pole position.
Race 1 fought from the start, where Brigliadori was unable to materialize, arriving in position in the week. In Race 2 he started from sixth position, at the first corner he was involved in a contact that caused him to end up against the barriers.
Fortunately, there were no consequences for the driver, but at the same time the hopes for the title were closed. Bitter end of a season that saw the young man always fighting for the top positions, in the end he finished in fifth place with 289 points; his performances have never been in question and in his second full season he has proven his worth and where he can go.
For BF Motorsport, the 2021 season is not over yet: after the TCR DSG Europe in Grobnik, the Italian Cup and the TCR Italy, the Team will be back on track this weekend, in the penultimate round of the TCR DSG Europe at Mugello. Series that will then close in Vallelunga on the weekend of November 21st.
“Bitter final, we couldn’t fight for the title all the way – says the owner, Imerio Brigliadori – A useless contact at the first corner after the start, the races don’t end there”.
“The important thing is that Eric is fine, the cars are repaired and we are preparing again for Mugello. At the end of the season, with the bowls stopped, we will think about 2022”.
