The first test of the season for CRM Motorsport on the Cremona circuit ended in a positive way, in view of the 2022 season in TCR Italy.
The two titular drivers, Ettore Carminati and Michele Imberti, were present on the track, who took to the track with the two Hyundai i30 TCRs.
For Carminati it was a “get back” in the car after last season, while for Imberti it was the first contact with the Korean car.
A day dedicated to becoming familiar with the i30 N, as well as carrying out a search for the set-up to work on, especially for changing tires.
In the new season there will be Hankooks instead of the French Michelin tires used until 2021.
The adaptation work began with the right conditions and in the next tests, work will continue, strengthened by the data collected on the San Martino del Lago track.
It went on gradually and despite the thirty-minute shifts, the day was positive, changing the set-up according to the data collected and the impressions of the drivers.
In the coming weeks, the CRM Motorsport Team will return to the azuone for another session.

“I am happy with the work we did in Cremona. It was important to become familiar with the new tires. It was a fresh start, changing supplier changes references”, says Carminati.
“I can safely say that it was a positive day, where we worked in synergy. Michele confirmed himself to be an excellent rider and the exchange of impressions allowed us to do a good job”.
Imberti added: “I’m happy with the test, it was very positive. Surely there is work to be done, as the first time it was good because I managed to do many kilometers. The priority is to understand the methodology to get to the right set-up, of the I remain a new car and above all new tires “.
“These first data are important for when I get back into the car. I am very happy with how we are structured with the Team and the engineers, a professional environment. Now I hope to get back on board as soon as possible”.
