It was Nico Muller, an Audi official driver, who held the first shake down of the brand new Audi RS 3 LMS MY2021 by Elite Motorsport on the bench.
The test took place at Cremona Circuit. Currently engaged in DTM and endurance programs with Audi Sport, Muller had the opportunity for the first time to test the 350hp of the RS 3 LMS, thus making his ‘debut’ in the TCR world.
As soon as it arrived at the Brescia factory, the first of the three Audi TCRs that the team will field in the next edition of TCR Italy has already taken to the track with an exceptional driver like Nico Muller.
Coming to compete for victory in GP3 and Formula Renault 3.5, the Swiss driver has entered Audi Sport orbit since 2014, disputing eight seasons in DTM and two in Formula E. A few months ago, Muller was appointed as one of the official drivers of the Audi Sport’s LMDh project to compete in the WEC and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Despite a first-rate palmares, Muller had not yet had the opportunity to test a TCR car, an opportunity that came thanks to the ‘first’ on the track of Elite Motorsport’s RS 3 MY 2021: “It’s really fun! A real racing car, with many adjustment possibilities to be able to tailor the car and make it suitable for every driving style. It exalts you, it goes fast but without putting in difficulty the less experienced drivers “, commented Müller.

“In my career I have been lucky enough to test many racing Audi, but I still lacked a TCR. Thanks to Elite Motorsport I was able to fulfill this little wish of mine, finding a very interesting car and a decidedly professional team, attentive to details and with the desire to grow, to learn, to improve “.
“The right attitude for those who want to achieve important results. I wish these guys all the best for their first season in the big Audi family. I’m sure they will be protagonists right away.”
Also Nicola Novaglio, Elite Motorsport team principal, is definitely satisfied with this first shake down: “For us it is an honor to be able to work with a driver like Nico, a great experience from which we can only benefit. We found ourselves very well, maybe in the future there may be other opportunities to collaborate. We are aware of the important milestone we have reached with this new challenge “.
“We don’t want to leave anything to chance and for this reason, as soon as we received the first of our three Audi RS 3 LMS, we immediately hit the track with one of Audi Sport’s top drivers. We want to prepare as best we can for next season, without leave nothing to chance. Today we have stored a lot of useful data on which to plan the work of the coming months “.
