The CEO of Endesa, Jose Bogasis forceful in elEconomista.es in his criticism against the extension of the tax to the energy sector. He rightly reiterates that “it makes no sense once the emergency situation due to the war in Ukraine is over.”
Furthermore, “he considers that it is a discriminatory tax compared to other European companies.” Ultimately, he believes that now is the time to make investments, not to impose taxes. He shows a logical position of rejection towards a rate whose extension makes no sense due to the fall in energy pricesand that can stop the disbursements that companies have planned. This at a time when the PNIEC contemplates an investment of 308.00 millionof which 80% come from the private sector.
