According to what was announced by the Bank of Italy in June tax revenues accounted for in the state budget were equal to 32.6 billion, an increase of 24.6 percent (6.4 billion) compared to the same month of 2020, explaining that this trend would also reflect the postponement of some tax payments arranged with the emergency decrees approved last year.
In the first half of 2021, tax revenues amounted to 194.8 billion, up by 14.7 percent (24.9 billion) compared to the same period last year. Tax and social security revenues in the first six months of the year show one overall growth of 10.2% (+30.826 billion euros) compared to the same period of 2020. The figure takes into account the positive change of 11.9% (+23.624 billion euros) in tax revenues and the growth in tax revenues of 6.8 % (+7.202 billion). The Mef communicates it.
