Criticized by opponents for demonstrating ignorance about the State of São Paulo, the candidate for government Tarcísio Freitas (Republicans) misnamed Campos Elíseos, a neighborhood in the capital.
When talking about the proposal to change the headquarters of Palácio dos Bandeirantes, now located in Morumbi, Tarcísio said on more than one occasion that he would take the building to “Campo dos Elíseos”.
Carioca, the candidate has committed gaffes that show a lack of knowledge about the state he wants to govern. One of the ones that generated the most repercussion was when he did not know how to respond to journalists where his polling place is in São José dos Campos.
