During the competition, the ROC team several times filed protests against the judges’ assessments to the Russians Dina and Arina Averin, but only one of them was satisfied – after performing with clubs, Arina was added 0.400 points.
According to the results of the competition, Dina Averina won a silver medal, losing to the representative of Israel, Lina Ashram. In third place was Alina Garnasko from Belarus.
At the same time, during the performance with the ribbon, Ashram dropped the shell, but the judges gave her 23,300 points – only 0.700 less than Dina’s.
The XXXII Olympic Games in Tokyo are held from July 23 to August 8. More than 11 thousand athletes from 206 countries take part in the competition, 339 sets of awards are played in 41 sports. The Russian team includes 333 athletes.
