Tameem Antoniadesdirector and screenwriter of Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 as well as the creative mind of the team since the beginning, left Ninja Theory after twenty-four years of activity: he founded the studio in 2000 together with Nina Kristensen and Mike Ball.
A few hours after the latest details on the gameplay and graphics of Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, an Xbox spokesperson confirmed to the Polygon editorial staff, who had noticed his absence during a preview session, that Antoniades no longer works for the company.
For the moment neither Ninja Theory nor Tameem Antoniades have commented on the separation, other than on a creative level it could definitely have repercussions on the studio's projects, considering the author's contribution over all these years.
A fundamental figure
As mentioned, Antoniades contributed in a fundamental way to the projects created by Ninja Theory in these twenty-four years: he directed and wrote Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, DmC Devil May Cry and Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.
As for Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, in this case too he played the role of director and screenwriter, but considering the timing we imagine he completed work on the game some time ago. The concern, at this point, is about the future of the team.
