Tamaulipas students integrated to the Scholarships for Wellbeing received 898.8 million pesos, in the 2020-2021 school year.
Through the public policies of the Government of Mexico In favor of the student community, in Tamaulipas almost one billion pesos have been allocated, so far this year, to the different welfare scholarship schemes.
The State Delegate for Federal Programs for Development in Tamaulipas, José Ramón Gómez Leal, reported that in the most recent payment operation where three two-month periods of the 2020-2021 school year were contemplated, 898 million 881,600 pesos were paid to students of various educational levels and their families.
Through the Wellness for Families Program, it was paid 343 million 843,200 pesosThis Program is aimed at girls, boys and adolescents enrolled in Basic Education Institutions, emanating from families in poverty and / or marginalization, who live or attend schools in priority locations, in order to continue their studies.
The Benito Juárez Scholarships, which are a universal economic stimulus for high school students in the public system, represented income for Tamaulipas youth in the order of 463 million 785,600 pesos.
Also, through the scheme Youth Writing the Future, Tamaulipas youth received as a whole 91 million 252,800 pesos.
This scholarship is intended for students of public institutions of Higher Education, who are settled in an indigenous or marginalized town or municipality of the country, as well as students of indigenous and Afro-descendant origin, who are enrolled in a priority institution of Higher Education of the Educational System National.
