Tales of the Rays It’s almost at the end of the line. Initially it was thought that it would only be closed in the West, given the poor numbers made and the persistence of the Japanese version, but from 23 July 2024 it will be closed also in Japan, as announced by publisher Bandai Namco. In short, the casual Japanese role-playing game will become completely inaccessible worldwide after approximately seven years of activity.
Tales of the Rays launched for iOS and Android in Japan on February 28, 2017. On July 24, 2017, a global versionwhich however was very short-lived, so much so that it lasted until May 29, 2018.
With today’s announcement the official end date of the game has been marked, which however will return in a different form, given that Bandai Namco will publish a offline version.
Together with the announcement of the closure of the servers, the inevitable announcement of the end of the sale of game currency also came. Of course, players will be able to finish spending what they have. Sales of Full Voice Pack they will instead end on June 20th. From May 22 until the end of the service, Bandai Namco will hold the “2,703 Days Final Thanksgiving Campaign”, which will culminate with the release of the end-game scenario in July.
