The harsh request of a Ukrainian colleague
However, the most moving part of his story happened seconds later, when he revealed the special request made by Max, one of his Ukrainian co-workers, who is in charge of guiding the journalistic team.

From the studio, one of her classmates asked her what she was going to do with the girl, to which Sol Malacuso replied that she would take her out of the Ukraine. “She is my family now, she is my sister. (…) I already spoke with my family and with our work team in Madrid, time is lacking here and whatever is needed, we are now a large family,” he assured.
Due to the commitment that the journalist has to remain in Ukraine to continue narrating the stories that happen there, Sol decided that she will not return to Spain yet.
“In principle I was going to return to Spain today or soon, but I decided, due to my commitment to the profession and to my cameraman, to stay in Lviv a few more days,” he said through his Instagram.
She also explained through her stories on that social network the reasons that led her to make that decision. “I don’t know, there are no words for what one feels. On the one hand, of course, the desire to go, to be with my family, to see them and make them calmer. On the other hand, the love and commitment to the profession “, he added.

As for the daughter of his guide, Malacuso explained that the girl will be taken to Spain by teammates who will return before her to that country.
“She is being taken by a small giant from our team who is returning to Spain. She will be very well cared for. As I have mentioned, we are all one big family in this work team. I hope she can be reunited with her family soon, either here in her country or anywhere that is safe for all of them,” he concluded.
