Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival has a date of exit on Nintendo Switchannounced by Bandai Namco with a trailer: The game will be available starting October 14.
Announced last February, Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival will be distributed in two different versions: standard edition and Taiko Drum Set Edition, which includes both the game and the Tatacons. A Digital Deluxe will also come later with ninety days of access to the Taiko Music Pass.
“Players will be able to hone their percussion skills through the 76 tracks that will be featured in the game,” reads the Bandai Namco press release. “In addition to these songs that will be available in Taiko mode, Story mode will take them on a journey with DON-Chan and Kumo-Kyun to become a true Drum Master.”
“Fans will also be able to show off their skills in online battles or collaborate with friends in Party mode. ‘Don Coins’ will be earned in different modes and will allow players to obtain items such as costumes or badges to customize their appearance.”
“The Taiko no Tatsujin series started in 2001 and Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythm Festival will be the first title in the series to offer the Taiko Music Pass with 7 days of free access.”
“By subscribing to the Taiko Music Pass, players will have access to a catalog of over 500 songs and monthly updates that will add new ones. More information is available on the official website.”
“Players with Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun saves will receive 3 bonus songs and some customization items.”
“The news does not end there, episodes of Taiko no Tatsujin: The Anime are available from today on YouTube. The anime series will follow Kotaro and his friends in their attempt to become Taiko masters, thanks also to the help of DON-Chan and of other characters in the franchise. “
