SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Transportadora Associada de Gas (TAG) granted access to its gas pipeline network to seven more groups throughout 2022, including companies such as Equinor and Shell, according to a document released by the company on Thursday.
The French subsidiary Engie also signed an extraordinary agreement for access to its infrastructure with Galp, Origin Energia, PetroRecôncavo, Compass and Proquigel.
The latter, a company of the chemical group Unigel, will receive gas from Petrobras through a transport contract signed with TAG. The state oil company also already uses TAG’s structure.
In all, the group of companies requested access to transport 11.72 million cubic meters of gas per day, 5.1 million of which in inlet capacity and 6.6 million in outlet capacity.
The annual contracts, which should be signed this month, are in the extraordinary service modality, in the entry and exit regime, with quality of provision similar to the firm service. The effective date is January 2022.
Privatized by Petrobras in 2019, TAG is controlled by Engie, which holds a 65% interest in the asset – the rest belonging to the Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Quebec (CDPQ). Its network comprises 4,500 kilometers of gas pipelines in the North and Northeast.
