Not for modern football, which does not even allow time for respite. Barça and Barcelona fans are trying to enjoy the hangover from their thrashing of Bayern in the Champions League (4-1), but the classic is already knocking at the door (Saturday, 9 p.m.). And, with it, comes the media coverage, such as the interviews of the protagonists. Among them, Wojciech Szczesny.
The Polish goalkeeper, signed urgently after the very serious knee injury that Ter Stegen suffered against Villarreal, is still waiting for his opportunity to make his debut for Barça. For now, he seems to be taking it easy after spending the last two games on the bench.

“If I were in Flick’s place, I wouldn’t play now either”
Szczesny has had no qualms about reviewing his situation in an interview with Eleven Sports, a Polish television with the rights to La Liga, due to the proximity of the exciting duel against Real Madrid.
The replacement of the Pole and the ownership of Iñaki Peña is addressed without hesitation by the protagonist. “Iñaki Peña has not given Flick any reason to leave him on the bench,” he points out. “We have spoken a lot with the coach and I have already told him that I am one hundred percent, but the team is working well and, if something is not broken, don’t touch it.”
Despite everything, Szczesny’s speech shows his desire to debut and his hope that his opportunity will come soon. “If I were in Flick’s place, I wouldn’t play now either. I will have the opportunity to play later, but the team is working very well right now and that is the important thing,” concluded the Pole.
