Two women and a child from one family were killed and five other people were wounded in an explosion, Saturday, in the city of Manbij in northern Syria, according to the Kurdish authorities.
The Manbij Military Council said in a statement that a “terrorist explosion” occurred while a civilian car carrying civilians crossed the southern entrance to Manbij, a city inhabited mostly by Arabs and under Kurdish administration, without giving further details.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the explosion was caused by a car explosion, adding that two civilians were killed and five wounded, including two members of the Kurdish internal security forces “Asayish”.
The Syrian Democratic Forces, which is fighting ISIS, is the main force in the areas of the Autonomous Administration, and controls large areas in north and northeastern Syria.
