Genoa – The ministers of agricultural policies, Stefano Patuanelli, and of health, Roberto Speranza, have signed an ordinance for curb the swine fever epidemic in the territories of 114 municipalities: 78 in the province of Alessandria, 36 in the province of Genoa and 7 in the province of Savona.
The ordinance allows production activities to continue working safely, providing reassurance regarding our exports. But in the woods, for six months, hunting is forbidden (with the exception of selective hunting), the collection of mushrooms and truffles, fishing, trekking, mountain biking and other activities involving direct or indirect interaction with infected wild boars or potentially infected. “This is a measure made necessary to combat swine fever and shared with the European Union”, comments the Undersecretary for Health, Andrea Costa.
