Chlorine gas leakage At the London Olympic swimming arena, some 200 people were evacuated and 29 of them were hospitalized due to breathing difficulties, the AFP news agency reported.

The Aquatic Center was the swimming center for the 2012 London Olympics and is located in East London.

“This morning we received an alert for a major accident at the Aquatic Center,” Darren Farmer The London ambulance service said and added that a significant number of rescuers and 13 ambulances were sent to the scene.

Eyewitnesses according to people standing outside the arena in their bathing suits and at least one person was taken on an stretcher to an ambulance.

Eventually, about 30 cars from the police, ambulance and fire department ended up outside the swimming center in connection with the rescue work.

In a city the size of London, the Aquatic Center is the only indoor swimming pool to meet Olympic standards.
