Rotterdam – After the flood disaster in Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia, there is now a sad certainty. One of the three still missing people was found dead in Rotterdam. The missing woman came from the Rhineland-Palatinate Ahr valley. The body was discovered a few weeks ago, said a spokesman for the Koblenz police force responsible for the Ahr valley on Friday (October 15).
Missing woman found dead in the Netherlands after flood disaster
Apparently the woman had been driven across the Rhine to Rotterdam in the Netherlands. It was only at the end of September that investigators were able to identify the woman who has been missing since the flood disaster using a DNA sample. Furthermore, two people are considered missing. The number of deaths in Rhineland-Palatinate rose to 134 when the woman was found.

Heavy rains had triggered catastrophic flooding on rivers in Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia in mid-July. Many communities, especially in the Ahr Valley, were devastated. In Rhineland-Palatinate, 134 people were killed in connection with the flood. Eight other dead people found had died before the flood, according to the state operations management.
