Tepic, Nayarit.- Starting tomorrow Monday, In Nayarit, classes and work in educational offices will be suspended due to the passage of Hurricane Orlenewhich is already category 3, the State Secretary of Education announced today.
Suspension of classes and work will apply in 13 of the 20 municipalities that Nayarit has. These are: Huajicori, Acaponeta, Tecuala, Tuxpan, Ruíz, Rosamorada, Santiago Ixcuintla, San Blas, Compostela, Bahía de Banderas, Del Nayar, Tepic and Xalisco.
It is worth mentioning that the educational authorities of Nayarit did not mention for how many days classes and educational work will be suspended, however, they ask the population to be attentive to new communications issued on their official social networks.
“We ask the school communities (parents, students and staff of the educational structure) to stay in their homes, take extreme precautions and follow the instructions so as not to put themselves at risk. The educational authorities we will be reporting promptlyso the school community is asked to be aware of official communications,” said the Secretary of Education of the state of Nayarit on their social networks.

Meanwhile, the report issued at 4:15 p.m. today by the Meteorologic service of the National Water Commission (WITH WATER), warns that the cloud bands of Hurricane Orlene will produce “intense to torrential rains, intense winds and high waves on the coasts of Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco and Colima“.
Likewise, it indicates that “the predicted rains could cause an increase in the levels of rivers and streams, landslides and floods in low-lying areas of the indicated states.”
Due to the intensity that Hurricane Orlene has reached, different levels of surveillance from Playa Pérula, Jalisco, to Bahía Tempehuaya, in Sinaloa.
