One of the video games that increased their popularity the most during the pandemic, especially in its first year was Among us, an online title that grew thanks to its community of fans and streamers who made it known. Now, Innersloth Y H2 Interactive They have released an update that will bring… a new manga?
As an intellectual property grows it is inevitable that it will explore new forms of expression. For example, The legend of zelda has its adaptations to graphic novels and manga for years or video games like Uncharted you will have your own movie. However, no one expected that the famous indie game of Innersloth get to have his own manga.
The page on which this news about Among us was shared by the official Japanese account of H2 Interactive:
According to the information they shared on social networks, the manga will only be a one-shot (a single, self-contained tome) of Among us and will appear in the April issue of the separate volume of the specialized magazine Bessatsu CoroCoro. This was confirmed by Innersloth shortly after the original publication.
But what will this video game story be about?
The Among Us manga
Magazine Bessatsu CoroCoro April will receive the one-shot manga of Among us, but it has not yet given details about the story it will show.
Although, taking into account the videos available in the video game (both from its original version to its most recent update), we can infer that they may be situational events between crew members and aliens or that it expands the lore of the world that Innersloth has created.
On the other hand, it is important to note that the magazine Bessatsu CoroCoro does not have a western counterpart like Shueisha or Kodansha, so it is possible that the manga of Among us don’t come to this part of the world. We hope that soon there will be an official announcement of its launch outside Japan.
