Apart from the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) from the money laundering angle and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) are investigating the case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. It is now reported that no information is being received about the payment of 17 crores made to Sushant for the film ‘Rabta’. This payment was made in the year 2017.
According to a report by Aaj Tak, sources have revealed that producer Dinesh Vijan was also questioned in connection with this payment. The ED suspects that some information related to this payment has been hidden from the producer. It is being told that the shooting money of the film made in foreign countries is spent in the same country and in this manipulation, the actors are paid out of this item. The ED also suspects that this money is sourced in India through hawala.
Dinesh Vijan could not give all the documents in this regard to the ED which were later recovered in his house raid. Sources in the ED have said that these documents show that the budget of the film was Rs 50 crore, out of which Rs 17 crore was given to Sushant. After the death of Sushant, his father KK Singh had accused Riya Chakraborty of missing Sushant’s Rs 15 crore in his complaint filed. However, so far no evidence has been found against Riya Chakraborty in this investigation.
