In view of the increasing cases of corona infection, the Union Home Ministry has asked the Government of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to conduct surveys in private hospitals on the lines of the capital Delhi in the districts falling under the National Capital Region (NCR).
After the outbreak of Corona infection in Delhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had asked in a high level meeting on 15 November last to assess treatment facilities for Corona infection in all private hospitals in Delhi. Teams visiting these hospitals submitted their report to the Directorate General of Health on Thursday.
Kovid-19’s havoc, all schools in Haryana closed till 30 November
Following the Home Minister’s directive, 150 ICU beds have been increased in Delhi hospitals in the last three days. As many as 75 doctors and 251 medical personnel called to Delhi from central police forces hospitals joined duty at Kovid Hospital in Chhatarpur and Railway Coach Hospital set up at Shakur Basti from Thursday. The Delhi government has asked various hospitals to refer patients to these two Kovid care centers. Along with this, the number of RT PCR tests is also being continuously increased and it is targeted to increase this test to 60,000 by the end of this month.
Know MHA’s new plan to control Corona in Delhi?
The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has now made a new plan in view of the cases of corona taking shape in Delhi. Under this plan, Sardar Patel will convert 500 isolation beds into beds with oxygen facility at the Sardar Patel Kovid Care Center in Chhatarpur. These beds are expected to be ready by the end of the week.
The Home Ministry said that 28,708 RT-PCR tests were carried out on 18 November following the review meeting on Delhi’s COVID-19 status of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is leading the front to overcome the corona in Delhi, and by the end of November, RT- PCR test capacity will be up to 60,000 per day.
