The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy called on all individuals and institutions in the UAE and the region to enhance participation in the various categories of the Emirates Energy Award during the current month of August, which will conclude on August 31, the closing of the nomination for the fourth session of the award.
The fourth cycle of the Emirates Energy Award, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai (may God protect him), and in conjunction with the global event “Expo 2020 Dubai”, attracts distinguished participations in most of its categories from the UAE and the region.
The Emirates Energy Award has received more than 140 participation requests from 14 countries, namely: The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Arab Republic of Egypt, Palestine, Morocco, Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman, Japan, Lesotho, Finland, Canada, Iran.
The award is held under the theme “Promoting Innovation for Sustainable Energy”, as it seeks to enhance Dubai’s role in the field of energy and transform it into a global center for renewable and clean energy and energy technology innovation.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and Chairman of the Emirates Energy Award, said the Emirates Energy Award is in line with the vision of the wise leadership in promoting sustainable development and achieving the goals of the UAE Vision 2021 and the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 by protecting the environment, preserving natural resources and developing renewable energy technology.
