The Ducati towards Estoril
In a weekend break for both Formula 1 and MotoGP, the eyes of motorsport fans are focused on Superbike, where Toprak’s recent injury Razgatlioglu has called into question a championship that seemed to be closed with a double whammy.
Taking advantage of the Turk’s knockout for Magny-Cours and Cremona, Nicolò Bulega he had moved to -13 behind his rival, only to then return to -39 once the BMW driver returned to work, i.e. during the Aragón weekend. Precisely in Spain the Ducati rider lost precious points, and now he will at least try to take the fight for the World Championship to Jerez de la Frontera, the last round of the World Championship.
Bulega’s words
“I hope I can be as fast on this circuit as I felt I was in Aragon where, unfortunately, we lost significant points“, commented Bulega. “Because of this I don’t want to set goals other than to be very competitive and obtain results that can also contribute to very important goals such as the Manufacturers’ Title and the Team Title which are very important for Ducati“. Rankings in which the Borgo Panigale team has an advantage of 42 points over BMW and 96 points over Rokit BMW respectively.
Bautista’s words
Look at the ranking also Alvaro Bautistawhose gap from Razgatlioglu is 81 points. This is a desperate undertaking, as there are “only” 144 points up for grabs, but the Spaniard believes in it: “It’s a circuit that I like and on which we had some good races. The feeling in Aragón was excellent but everything will be different here, including the weather conditions. The championship? As long as the numbers offer possibilities it is clear that there is always hope. I’m thinking about having fun on the bike, then we’ll do the math on Sunday”.
