Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is a title that has made generations of players dream. Developed by Square in the mid 90’s for Super Nintendothe title is a clever blend of the Super Mario universe with the mechanisms inherited from Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy.
Regularly, fans are clamoring for his return one way or another, and his director, Chihiro Fujioka, has previously said he is also willing to create a sequel. Obviously for now Nintendo has not said anything about a possible return of the game, but a fan has taken the ball.
Twitter user Finn has created his own “remake” of Super Mario RPG. This is a personal project that is not meant to be finished and published. However, through his account the artist shared some screenshots of this remake in order to show people what he looks like. There are not only images, but also a short video showing Mario wandering around a small patch of land as the Paratroopas flit over his head.

As Finn reiterated, this is simply a concept and for legal purposes the “remake” will not be advertised. Nonetheless, fans after seeing this project want an official remake of the game even more strongly. Will Nintendo listen to them? Only time will tell.
